Digital signatures are now widely used to sign various documents or forms. In this post, e-teknologic presents easy ways to create digital signature images to place in Word, Excel, Google Docs, PDF, and Outlook email documents; as well as direct signature on the document.

There are 3 methods that can be used, either with Microsoft Office applications (such as Word), Android applications, or using an online signature website. Please scroll down to read the guide or click the link in the table of contents.

Method 1: Using Tools in Microsoft Office

There are 2 ways that can be used to create a digital signature. Can be used for computer users with touch screens ( touch screens ) or regular screens ( non-touch screens ).

Note : this tutorial uses examples in Microsoft Word, but can also be applied to Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Method 1: Using the Ink Tools Pen

The Ink Tools Pen is the easiest way to create a signature. This tool in the form of pen ink is intended for making various hand scribbles.

If your computer screen is not a touch screen, you can still use this feature to create a signature using the mouse. The instructions are here: The Tab Pens Solution is Grayed out (Disabled) .

When you're done creating, do the following so that the signature image can be moved easily on the Word page:

1. Right -click the signature image.
2. Click Wrap Text and select Top and Bottom position . Also select Move with Text , so that this signature moves its position when there is addition or deletion of text in the document page.

Method 2: Using Insert Shapes

This method is easy to use when using a touch screen or stylus pen. Meanwhile, when using a mouse, the possible results are not as good as Method 1 which uses the Ink Tools Pen.

Follow this method if you want to use it.

1. In tab Insert, grup Illustrations, click Shapes.
2. In the Lines section , select the Scribble shape .
3. Make a signature at the desired position in the document.
4. To change the stroke color and thickness, click on the signature shape to bring up the Drawing Tools | . tab Formats . Then in Shape Styles , click the arrow in the Shape Outline to display the signature stroke color ( Colors ) and thickness ( Weight ) options.
5. Set the signature position by right-clicking on the signature, selecting Wrap Text and Top and Bottom . Also select Move with Text , so that the signature moves position when there is addition or deletion of text on the document page.

Saving a Signature Image

There are 3 ways that can be used to save a signature image, either made with the Ink Tools Pen or with Insert Shape in Microsoft Office applications.

Method 1: Saving a Document That Contains Images

After creating a signature, all you have to do is save the document to copy and paste into another document.

Method 2: Save the Image in PNG Format

Follow the steps below to save the created signature in Word or Excel.

1. Copy the signature image that is in Word or Excel.
2. Open the PowerPoint application. On a blank slide, place the image by pressing CTRL + V ( Paste ).
3. Then right-click the image and select Save as Picture .
4. In the box:
5. File name : name the image.
6. Save as type : select the PNG image format .
7. Finish by pressing the Save button to save the image.
8. Use Insert | Pictures , to insert or place it in a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint document.

Method 3: Save it to Word Quick Parts

We can also save the signature image to Quick Parts Word, so it can be used anytime in a Word document.

Method 2: Using a Digital Signature Website

Free Online Digital Signature Website

You can visit the following sites to create a digital signature online for free. Depending on the device you're using, you can use your mouse, finger, or stylus pen to draw your signature.

SignWell

• Use a touchpad, mouse, phone, tablet, or other mobile device to draw an electronic signature.
• Or type in a name and choose the signature font that best matches what you want.
• Can choose color.

Signaturely

• Create a signature and download the image in PNG format. The result is nice and smooth like real ink strokes.
• There is a choice of ink thickness, color, and angle or direction of the signature. From the test results, the use of this angle is a bit confusing and the results are not visible. If you are not proficient, you should choose the thickness and color of the ink only.
• We can also type a name which will then be converted into a handwritten font.

• Create a digital signature image on any computer, tablet or mobile device.
• The result of the signature will be saved in PNG format.

Method 3: Using Free Android Apps
